Dr. Reed is an amazing mix of an "old time vet" (think James Herriott) and a progressive young vet. He is exceptionally kind, gentle, very caring and genuinely loves animals. Dr. Reed truly listens to what we share about our dogs and acts accordingly. We never feel that he "overdoes" testing or treatments, yet he absolutely recommends appropriate testing or treatment when he feels it is truly necessary. He always calls back very quickly if we have a question, and never fails to call as soon as any procedure is completed to let us know how our pet is doing. In emergency situations, he is quick to respond and do whatever is needed. Dr. Reed consults with others when necessary to be sure our dogs get exactly the right diagnosis and/or treatment, and has no problem referring us to a specialist if he feels it is warranted. He gets to know his patients' humans, and really makes everyone feel like part of the practice's client family. His prices are fair, and his techs are the most loving we've ever experienced. We used to drive over an hour to his office, and it was worth every minute. None of my dogs are terribly friendly with people they don't know well, and my most difficult dog ran straight to him when released to go home and pawed at him to pet her! That's the ticket right there...she loves him!

Unlike other doctors who try to upsell products or suggest unnecessary treatment to fullfill their business, dr. Hunter was honest, kind, and caring about animals. He is very informative.
